An exciting opportunity to support the Brand, Content and Creative team through high-quality coordination, production support and asset management across video and photography, contributing directly to Macquarie University’s visual brand presence.
The Role
Macquarie University’s Brand, Content and Creative team is seeking a capable and organised Creative Production Assistant to provide hands-on production support, project coordination and asset management across photographic and video content.
This role supports the end-to-end delivery of visual content by assisting with planning, logistics, production workflows, post-production coordination, and archival processes. It plays a key role in ensuring content is delivered efficiently, stored correctly, and managed in line with brand, copyright and accessibility standards.
Working closely with producers, videographers, photographers, designers and writers, the Creative Production Assistant contributes to a broad range of content projects across owned, paid and social channels. The role suits someone with practical production experience who is equally comfortable coordinating projects and stepping in to assist on shoots or post-production when required.
About You
You are highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment. You bring practical experience supporting video and photographic production, strong coordination skills, and a clear understanding of production workflows.
You are confident managing multiple tasks, tracking progress, and supporting teams to deliver on time and on brief. You understand the importance of governance, copyright and asset management, and you approach creative work with professionalism and attention to detail.
Experience shooting and editing content is highly regarded, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to support production effectively and keep projects moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Support photographic and video productions, including pre-production coordination, shoot logistics and post-production workflows
- Assist with video and photography shoots, including on-set support and coordination of talent, locations and equipment
- Track production schedules, deliverables and budgets, and assist with reporting and project administration
- Upload, catalogue and archive visual assets using approved digital asset management systems, ensuring accurate metadata and compliance with copyright and licensing requirements
- Support campaign and project tracking, including monitoring timelines and expenditure against approved budgets
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support smooth delivery of creative projects
- Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, accessibility requirements and University policies
