"Croft Chair in Management"

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary is seeking a world-class scholar to fill the Croft Chair in Management, with a disciplinary focus in Organizational Behaviour and a research emphasis on healthy work. Healthy work scholarship examines how work and workplaces can foster well-being, safety, and sustainability, including areas such as occupational, physical, and mental health, leadership, burnout, recovery, workplace harassment, inclusion, organizational support, employee wellness, emotions, and psychosocial risks.

The Chair includes annual research funding and a reduction in teaching responsibilities. It supports a senior scholar (Full Professor) with an internationally recognized research program, a track record of securing major external funding, and the ability to mentor researchers. The appointment begins July 1, 2026.

Eligibility and Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Management, or a related discipline; have an exceptional publication record in top-tier journals; demonstrate research leadership; exhibit expertise in healthy work topics; teach undergraduate and doctoral courses; and contribute to a research-intensive group.

Appointment Details: The appointment is at the rank of Full Professor with tenure, for an initial five-year term, renewable based on performance. Chairholders receive research funding and teaching reductions to support research, mentoring, and collaborations.

Additional Considerations: Competitive candidates may have a record of external funding, interdisciplinary collaborations, engagement with practitioners, prestige in the field, methodological expertise, and mentoring capacity.
