"Cross-Sectional IR Scheduler"

The Cross-Sectional Radiology Scheduler is an integral asset of pre-procedural care for CSIR patients. The role involves working closely with a nurse coordinator and physician assistant team to schedule all CSIR appointments, coordinate with Radiology providers, nursing, anesthesia, and patients.

SCHEDULING

• Add case to schedule and support same day add-ons.
• Coordinate CSIR procedures with other radiological studies and/or anesthesia.
• Obtain outside films and labs prior to patients? procedures.
• Perform all other administrative duties related to the scheduling process.
• Identify and track reoccurring scheduling/operational problems and participate in resolution.

COMMUNICATION

• Communicate/collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure an integrated approach to service.
• Proactively serve as a liaison between customers and internal Michigan Medicine personnel to ensure adequate response and customer/patient satisfaction.
• Contact patient to schedule case.
• Answer incoming phone calls and triage to appropriate location.

COORDINATION

• Manage CSIR's inpatient work queue.
• Manage CSIR in-basket pool.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have demonstrated good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Adhere to high standards of teamwork by demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and consistently sharing information and resources with others.
• Ability to work independently in an ever-changing and potentially stressful environment.
• Demonstrate dependability, initiative, ability to prioritize, and ability to accept direction.
• Strong organizational skills.
• At least one year of scheduling experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years patient care experience
• Prior experience with MiChart
• Associate's degree in a health science

Day shift, Monday - Friday
