CS-Research Assistant
Position Summary
Columbia University School of Nursing is seeking to hire two short-term casual employees to provide qualitative research support for several NIH-funded projects focusing on primary care, the healthcare workforce, and the care and outcomes of older adults with chronic diseases, including dementia.
The selected candidates will collaborate with other researchers to complete research tasks. They will work closely with the team to support various aspects of the research lifecycle, from literature reviews, manuscript presentation, and participant interview support
There is a possibility of additional hours (the limit is 20 hours per week), depending on project needs.
Responsibilities
- assisting with related literature reviews, grant preparation, and manuscript preparation, and;
- supporting the collection of qualitative interview data;
- aiding in data cleaning, preparation, management, and analysis;
- support qualitative data analysis in NVivo;
- participating in research meetings;
- performing other related duties as assigned
This position is grant-funded, and continued employment will be contingent upon the grant.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent;
- Knowledge of/experience working in a health-related field;
- Experience with or interest in research projects, particularly qualitative interviews, survey data collection, management, and analysis;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Strong communication and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background and/or experience in health-related research is highly preferred.
- Experience with qualitative methods, such as conducting interviews or coding, is also preferred.
- A master’s degree in a related field (complete or in progress) is highly preferred.
