Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the office: answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
  • Process general forms (address change, name changes, etc.).
  • Process transcript requests, enrollment verifications, diploma reprints.
  • Supervise student employees.
  • Support graduation processing, including degree certification and diploma distribution.
  • Troubleshoot registration and portal issues for students and faculty.
  • Process returning student clearance, student cancellations and other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain files, maintain inventory of supplies and order as appropriate.
  • Help coordinate advising workshops and academic success programs.
  • Coordinate duplication and mailings.
  • Support special projects and events across Enrollment Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

  • 1-3 years' administrative experience, preferably in higher education, required.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Technology Skills

  • Facility with typical desktop computer software programs, including Excel, required.
  • Proficiency in online environments required, ability to learn the University's administrative computing software, reporting tools, scheduling software, etc.

Human Relations Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people.
  • Student focused sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team oriented attitude.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work in a fast paced setting.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission.
