About the School of Hospitality The School of Hospitality serves students across four majors, one minor, and six certificates. The School is the only program in the United States that has a LEED Gold® hotel SpringHill Suites hotel, a commercial conference space, a state-of-the-art beverage testing laboratory, a commercial restaurant, the Day Leadership Academy, and the Charlie Papazian Brewing Education Lab. Position Summary The School of Hospitality at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for temporary, part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. - Teach 3+ credit hours. Subject areas may include, but are not limited to: Basic Cooking Skills, International Cooking, and Foodservice Fundamentals
- Will work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
- Will demonstrate ability to effectively infuse technology into coursework
- Will be available for consultation with students
- Required qualifications for an adjunct/affiliate faculty member in SOH include: (a) completion of a master's degree in the field in which the faculty member is assigned to teach; or (b) an associate's degree or higher in a hospitality-related discipline plus professional experience that is current at the time of hire, that has been substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility, and that clearly links to the field in which the faculty member is expected to teach.
