Beyond teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to perform service and administrative responsibilities in support of the College and maintain an active research profile that is appropriate to the high levels of teaching and service that are required at the College. As Chair, the candidate will be expected to make a commitment to public engagement that may include public presentations for general audiences on topics related to current issues in communication and media. The candidate may be called upon to help develop and coordinate a Certificate in the Creative Arts that the College hopes to offer in the future.
