Culturally And Linguistically Diverse Education Affiliate Instructor
Position Summary
The Department of Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.
MSU Denver enrolls over 16,000 students, where nearly 60% are first generation and over 55% are students of color. Located in downtown Denver, we are a designated Hispanic Serving Institution.
Responsibilities
- Teach no more than 9 credit hours per semester in areas such as foundation courses in culturally and linguistically diverse education, multicultural courses, methods courses, and second language acquisition and assessment.
- For some courses, be available during the school day to supervise clinical experiences.
- Be available for consultation with students before and after class.
- Teach assigned classes in person or online, prepare course materials, grade student work, provide feedback, address student questions, and provide academic support.
- Maintain office hours and comply with university policies.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree or ABD status.
Terms of Employment
Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired on a per credit hour basis. Positions are dependent on budget and enrollment. Qualified candidates will teach in person and/or on campus.
