In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $20.00 Hourly
Maximum: $25.50 Hourly
Job Summary
Provide administrative support to the Directors of years 1 and 2 by managing documents, schedules, and resources associated with the Veterinary Basic Sciences (VBS) course.
Position reports to the Academic Affairs Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills, and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Good computer skills necessary in order to set up document formats in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and/or similar software packages.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
- General knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
Education:
AA degree and/or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Experience:
3-5 years of administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree
Experience:
5+ years experience as an Administrative Assistant/Associate or Executive Assistant
