Mary Ward Adult Education
We are passionate about the idea that we can keep on learning throughout our lives and specialise in courses for adults from 19 to 90. We have been doing this for over 100yrs and are one of London’s Specialist Institutes for Adult Learning. Courses run in the daytime, evening or weekend, meaning learning can fit around our student’s lives.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Curriculum Manager for our Arts & Wellbeing Department, to take strategic and operational responsibility for a diverse and creative portfolio spanning Visual & Performing Arts, Fitness & Dance, Health & Wellbeing, and Creative Writing.
This is a varied role combining curriculum development, quality improvement, tutor management and programme delivery. You will play a key part in shaping an engaging, inclusive and sustainable curriculum that responds to the needs of adult learners and the communities we serve.
This is a varied leadership role with responsibility for:
- Developing and managing an engaging, inclusive curriculum for adult learners.
- Leading and supporting tutors and technicians, including recruitment, induction, line management and professional development.
- Driving high standards of teaching, learning and quality improvement.
- Planning new courses and identifying opportunities for growth, innovation and external funding.
- Managing specialist rooms, equipment, resources and budgets, ensuring strong health and safety practice.
- Working collaboratively with curriculum, marketing, administration and facilities teams to ensure effective programme delivery.
- Supporting learners, celebrating achievement and promoting equality, diversity and accessibility.
- Building partnerships and representing the Centre within the wider community.
We are looking for someone with strong curriculum experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine passion for adult learning and the arts and wellbeing.
