As a Custodial Supervisor, you will:
- Functionally supervise up to fifteen custodial staff in a designated building or group of buildings on campus on the assigned shift.
- Develop work schedules and record time and attendance of custodial staff.
- Establish work assignments for special projects, absentee coverage, and snow removal.
- Train staff in methods of cleaning and safe handling of equipment and materials.
- Inspect and evaluate custodial services provided.
- Prepare required written activity reports and required labor records.
- Perform custodial duties in areas as assigned.
- Respond to emergencies during non-working hours.
- Inspect equipment for safe and effective operation.
- Control inventory of custodial supplies and prepare supply orders.
This position works third shift, Sunday night through Friday morning, from 10:15 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., and is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years supervisory experience or equivalent required.
- 1+ years custodial experience or equivalent required.
- Must possess high level of verbal communication and writing skills.
- Must have knowledge and skills in operating large cleaning equipment.
- Able and willing to provide direct feedback, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.
- Extremely well organized and able to organize others.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have a smart cell phone for use during normal work hours and for after-hours contact and a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer experience, excellent communication/interpersonal skills is preferred.
