Performs custodial and housekeeping duties on USC Upstate campus for assigned buildings, specified areas, having knowledge of all buildings to be able to perform work in any building as needed or on a rotational building schedule with flexibility to work weekends and any shift.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma and 2 years related experience or equivalency. Considerable knowledge of custodial operations and methods.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Successful background check is required. Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Understand and follow USC Upstate's general housekeeping standards. Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments of equipment. Exhibit large degree of flexibility: will be assigned principally to one or two buildings to be able to perform work in any building as needed or on rotational building. Must be knowledgeable of all buildings to be able to perform work in any buildings as needed or on rotational building schedule. Effectively uses work order management system. Follows OSHA standards and guidelines when performing duties. Successfully completes annual OSHA training.
