Position Description Summary/Purpose:

This position performs routine cleaning of interior areas of all University buildings.

We have the following open positions:

• Riverside Magnet School: Full-Time Shift: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
• Pathways: Full-Time Shift: 11:00 am – 7:30 pm

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

• Cleans, dusts, disinfects, vacuums, sweeps, mops as appropriate all interior areas of College buildings including offices, classrooms, conference rooms and learning centers, restrooms, cafeteria, computer rooms, laboratories, libraries, lounge areas, furniture, closets and windows.
• Tasks performed are standardized.
• Conducts all work in a safe manner and follows all work safety practices.

Other Functions:

• Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation permits.
• Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
• Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures; knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment used in cleaning activities.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED with 1 to 2 weeks training
• Passing of pre-employment screening

• Close vision (i.e. clear vision at 20 inches or less)
• Distance vision (i.e. clear vision at 20 feet or more)
• Color vision (i.e. ability to identify and distinguish colors)
• Peripheral vision (i.e. ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or left and right while the eyes are fixed on a given point)
• Depth perception (i.e. three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
