"Custodian"

Buena Vista University is seeking a full-time Custodian who will perform a variety of semi-skilled manual tasks and duties in support of various services provided by Custodial Services. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, classrooms, and common areas, and sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces. Emptying trash and recycling bins and replacing liners. Restocking supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Assisting in special campus events and other duties as assigned.

The ability to work independently, without supervision, is essential. This position requires lifting up to 40 pounds and the ability to work off a step ladder. A high school diploma/GED or 10+ years of custodial-related work experience is required. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
