Custodian Working Leader

Priority Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure work order assignments and routine cleaning tasks are completed according to established standards
Provide direction to custodians to ensure appropriate level of cleanliness
Ensure all work processes comply with OSHA requirements/regulations and college policies and procedures
Train employees on safe operation of equipment and use of chemicals
Perform QA inspections to ensure cleaning activities meet established standards

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure cleaning and maintenance schedules are followed
Coordinate employee work schedules to ensure that manpower needs are satisfied
Execute maintenance and repair of custodial equipment
Perform custodial duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, floor finishing, cleaning windows, walls and furniture, restocking supplies, and trash/recycling removal
Properly lock and unlock doors for cleaning purposes; ensure all windows and doors are secured as appropriate when leaving
Set up rooms for various functions using a work order for direction
Operate a service vehicle as required to perform duties
Available for call back and scheduled overtime, as required
Other duties as assigned or as necessary
