Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: Performs advanced administrative assistant duties and customer service support functions for Facilities Business Services, including coordinating fleet-related activities, maintaining records, and possibly assisting with operational and financial processes. Provides exceptional customer support to fleet users while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, organizational policies, and applicable legal requirements. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Performs advanced administrative assistant duties. Provides departmental or University information to students, departments, and staff. Administers SHSU Bearkat Wheels vehicle rental program. Coordinates with the State of Texas Office of Vehicle Fleet Management, US Bank/Voyager Fleet Card program, and manages Toll Road Authority activities regarding SHSU rental fleet vehicles. Oversees the fleet operation support within the Customer Service area. This includes processing vehicle reservations and assignments, assisting with vehicle check-in and check-out procedures, and monitoring fleet availability. Interprets SHSU's fleet policies and procedures. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports when requested. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes documents and correspondence. Performs other related duties as assigned.
