Cyber Security Engagement Lead
About This Opportunity
Lead UQ’s Cyber Security Engagement team in a purposeful, collaborative role that helps shape a more secure and resilient university community. Working within Information Technology Services, you will guide the design, delivery and evaluation of engagement initiatives that strengthen cyber security culture and reduce human-related cyber risks across the University. Partnering with senior stakeholders and specialist cyber teams, you will identify opportunities, shape engagement strategies, and apply evidence-based behaviour change approaches to embed secure practices, helping the UQ community feel informed, empowered, and supported.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning, development and delivery of cyber security engagement initiatives tailored to diverse stakeholder groups across the University.
- Managing and mentoring a small engagement team to deliver high-quality, measurable programs that reinforce secure behaviours over time.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand local environments, shape engagement strategies and strengthen cyber capability across teams.
- Evaluating behavioural impact, using data and evidence-based behaviour-change approaches to refine initiatives and maintain consistent, relevant messaging across cyber security activities.
