Cybersecurity Clinic Program Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Cybersecurity Clinic Program Manager within Information Technology reports directly to Ann Harris. This role is primarily responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing systems that support meaningful student engagement with community clients across multiple institutional programs, including partnership development, student cohort support, and assessment of learning outcomes and client satisfaction. This is a six-year, grant-funded position. Reappointment and continued employment throughout this period are subject to ongoing availability of funding and the successful renewal of the grant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Community Partnership Development and Client Engagement
- Develop and sustain partnerships with community clients through the Small Business Legal Clinic, Community Counseling Center, Teacher Education Program, and the Bates Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership
- Identify, assess, and onboard new client opportunities that align with student learning goals and program capacity
- Coordinate communication and expectations between community clients and institutional programs
- Serve as L&C representative and contribute to The Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics organization
- Maintain clear documentation of client relationships, project scope, and engagement timelines using shared project tracking tools
Student Engagement and Cohort Leader Support
- Guide student cohort leaders in building skills in communication, professionalism, and adaptability when working with clients
- Coordinate student participation in community-based projects across programs and academic terms
- Provide structure, resources, and coaching that support student readiness for client engagement
- Monitor student participation and address challenges to ensure a positive and professional client experience
Project and Program Management
- Design and implement systems that organize student-client engagement across multiple departments and timelines
- Facilitate regular check-ins with program partners to align expectations, timelines, and outcomes
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and responsibilities using project management software and shared planning tools
- Create repeatable processes that support scalability and consistency of the program
Assessment, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement
- Develop assessment tools to measure student learning outcomes and satisfaction
- Collect and analyze client feedback to evaluate program effectiveness
- Use data to recommend improvements to processes, partnerships, and student preparation
- Prepare summary reports that demonstrate program impact for internal and grant reporting purposes
Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and program leaders across the Law School, Graduate School, and Bates Center
- Communicate program updates, expectations, and outcomes to stakeholders through meetings, reports, and shared documentation
- Support alignment between academic programs and community engagement initiatives
- Contribute to a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and shared responsibility across participating programs
