The Design and Build Lab (DaBL) is seeking a motivated and creative undergraduate or graduate student employee to join our team as a Student Lab Technician. Student Technicians support the daily operations of the makerspace by assisting visitors, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. Ideal candidates will have experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: digital fabrication (laser cutting, 3D printing, vinyl cutting), electronics and Arduino, vector graphics design, 3D modeling, woodworking, or general prototyping. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Training will be provided for all major equipment and safety procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Training and mentoring other students.
• Monitoring equipment use.
• Troubleshooting basic technical issues.
• Organizing tools and materials.
• Supporting events or workshops.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time. 10 hours per week.

Salary Range: $18.40 - $20.00 per hour.
