ECONOMICS FACULTY POSITION OPEN RANK
The Economics Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, invites applications and nominations for an open rank tenure-track faculty position in economics to begin August 16, 2026. All faculty searches are subject to the availability of funding.
The position requires a doctoral degree in economics or closely related field by the start date of employment. Candidates at the Associate Professor level must have at least 6 years of academic and/or industry experience by the start date of employment, a record of high-impact research, and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Candidates at the Professor level must also have a consistent career of impactful academic publications and possess a demonstrated national or international reputation in their field of economics. Applicants hired at the full professor level will be considered for an open endowed chair in economics. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in advanced quantitative methods, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, or related topics, or have demonstrated experience studying economic impact of AI, its policy implications, and its broader societal effects.

OPERATIONS AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT FACULTY POSITION OPEN RANK
The Management Science Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, invites applications for one open rank tenure-track position within the Operations and Supply Chain Management group. The target start date for this position is August 16, 2026. Our tenure-track faculty are expected to produce impactful empirical research targeting top-tier journals and to demonstrate excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching. The teaching responsibilities for this position could include courses in our business analytics or operations management curriculum. Our group has a vibrant doctoral program, and an expectation for this position is to contribute to the development of our PhD students.
The Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) group at the Moore School is well known for publishing its research in the top-tier OSC journals. Our undergraduate and graduate programs were ranked 3rd and 5th, respectively, in the most recent 2024 Gartner Research ranking of the Top 25 North American Supply Chain programs. Additionally, our department is the proud recipient of the prestigious 2024 INFORMS-UPS Prize for excellence in operations, management science, and analytics education. The Department houses an active Operations and Supply Chain Center, which cultivates outreach to industry and enhances practice-based pedagogical and scholarly research. Center partners include organizations such as Boeing, Coca-Cola Bottling Consolidated, Continental Tire, Schaeffler, Siemens, and Sonoco Products Company, among others. Qualifications for this position at the rank of Assistant Professor includes a PhD or DBA in Operations Management/Supply Chain Management or a closely related field by the start date of employment, along with expertise in conducting empirical research. Applications for the rank of Associate of Full Professor must additionally have the appropriate years of academic experience consistent with academic policy and an established record of excellence in research and teaching.

FINANCE FACULTY POSITION OPEN RANK
The Finance Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, invites applications for a professional track Clinical Assistant Professor or Lecturer. Primary duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the 2026/2027 academic year. All areas in Real Estate will be considered. This position is designed to offer opportunities for long-term employment with the university, with renewable contracts and opportunities for promotion in accordance with established policies for non-tenure track faculty. Qualifications for the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor includes a PhD in finance or a related discipline and potential for teaching and service excellence. For appointment at the rank of Lecturer, a Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, and/or Business Administration coupled with relevant business experience.
