Data Analyst / Data Scientist (m/f/d) – Medical Informatics in Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation

The University Hospital rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich is seeking a motivated Data Analyst / Data Scientist to join our interdisciplinary research team. The position focuses on processing and analyzing real-world clinical data from musculoskeletal rehabilitation to generate data-driven insights that improve orthopaedic treatments and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Extract, clean, and harmonize large clinical datasets (SQL, Python, R)
• Develop reproducible data pipelines and perform statistical analyses
• Visualize trends and outcomes in patient data
• Collaborate closely with clinicians, statisticians, and IT specialists

Requirements:

• Degree in Medical Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in SQL, data modeling, and statistical analysis
• Proficiency in Python and/or R; experience with clinical or real-world data is an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset and scientific interest
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
