Description Summary
The Dean of Arts and Sciences provides academic and administrative leadership for Morton College’s general education and transfer programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of instructional offerings across disciplines such as communication, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, natural sciences, and developmental education. The Dean collaborates closely with department chairs, program directors, and faculty to support student learning, maintain academic standards, and foster innovation. As a senior leader within Academic Affairs, the Dean contributes to college-wide planning, assessment, and continuous improvement. The role is grounded in Morton’s institutional values of Compassion, Equity, Accountability, Innovation, and Excellence and emphasizes cross-functional collaboration to advance student success.
