POSITION OVERVIEW
The role of Dean of Business and Entrepreneurship at Millennia Education provides a unique opportunity to develop an academic faculty from inception, integrating the best of current practices and future innovations. This role requires an outstanding individual who is a scholar, strategist, manager, innovator, ambassador, and leader.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Academic Innovation & Curriculum Development
- Lead the design, development, and continual renewal and quality assurance of academic programs, including foundation and student preparatory programs, to align with workforce needs, emerging technologies, and Vietnam’s socio-economic priorities.
- Ensure robust curriculum development and assessment frameworks that support learning outcomes, graduate employability, and accreditation compliance.
- Champion interdisciplinary, experiential, and project-based learning across all programs.
- Integrate AI, digital platforms, and immersive learning technologies into curricula.
- Teaching Excellence & Academic Staff Development
- Oversee academic staff development programs to build teaching excellence, digital pedagogy, and applied learning capacity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and reflective teaching practice.
- Promote academic exchange, visiting scholar programs, and joint teaching initiatives.
- Research Development & Innovation Leadership
- Direct the University’s research development strategy with emphasis on applied, industry-linked, and socially impactful projects.
- Build and strengthen international research partnerships with universities, research institutes, and industry globally.
- Secure research funding from national, international, and industry sources.
- Foster interdisciplinary research centers and thematic clusters aligned with priority sectors.
- Ensure compliance with research ethics and open science principles.
- International Partnerships & Engagement
- Establish and maintain strategic international academic partnerships that enhance academic programs, joint research, and student/faculty mobility.
- Collaborate with partner institutions to co-develop joint degrees, dual certifications, and research projects.
- Represent the University in international academic and research networks, conferences, and forums.
- Academic Quality, Assessment & Accreditation
- Ensure program design, delivery, and assessment meet or exceed national and international quality standards.
- Lead program review and continuous improvement processes.
- Prepare for and manage external quality assurance and accreditation processes.
- Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Serve as a core contributor to University Management Team decision-making, ensuring alignment of academic and research priorities with institutional strategy.
- Mentor and lead academic leaders, research directors, and curriculum specialists.
- Provide strategic advice to the President and Board on trends in higher education, research policy, and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualification and Experience
- Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Distinguished records of academic leadership, teaching excellence, and research achievement.
- Proven experience in curriculum design, program assessment, and research development.
- Demonstrated success in building international academic and research partnerships.
- Track record in faculty development and managing large academic teams.
- Familiarity with higher education in Southeast Asia and/or emerging economy contexts preferred.
- Strong cultural intelligence, adaptability, and commitment to inclusive leadership.

- Facilitate research outcomes in the form of impact, published output, funding, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Attract and continually develop exemplary academic faculty and administrative staff.
- Create a culture of innovation and purpose, empowering people to contribute.
- Build for long-term financial sustainability.
- Attain targeted accreditations and maintain international quality benchmarks.
