The University of Michigan-Flint seeks an inspiring, strategic, and community-oriented leader to serve as dean of the School of Management. SOM is an AACSB-accredited business school uniquely positioned to promote opportunity and social good, supporting a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff, and engaging with the communities of central Michigan.

The School offers excellent teaching and quality research in a student-focused environment, providing transformative education to first-generation, Pell-eligible, and part-time students. It enrolls over 1,100 undergraduate and graduate students in various programs, many in online and hybrid formats, and has been recognized as Michigan’s top online Bachelor of Business program by U.S. News and World Report.

Students are committed to community engagement and leadership, with many from central Michigan planning to stay and contribute to regional development. The School facilitates cross-disciplinary collaborations for innovative learning experiences.

The dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer, reporting to the provost, and oversees academic programs, curriculum, research, student excellence, and faculty/staff development. The dean will develop innovative programs, grow enrollment, strengthen partnerships, and generate funds.
