UTS College is a leader in pathway education. We provide pathways to the University of Technology Sydney, Australia's Number One Young University and one of the top 100 universities in the world, ranked for excellence in teaching, research impact, industry engagement and international outlook.
We deliver in Sydney on the UTS campus, and we have a strong global footprint through our transnational (TNE) work, with our own campus in Sri Lanka and program delivery through a growing network of institutional partnerships in China, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and South Korea.
Our programs include Academic English, Foundation Studies, Diplomas, Graduate Certificates and the newly-launched Cambridge International AS and A Levels. We have a very strong focus on the diversity of our student community – including the proportion of domestic students – to support richness in our student experience and an environment in which their perspectives and global networks can grow.
As our long-standing Dean steps away from the College, we are now seeking a new Dean to lead the Education portfolio.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Dean is a key member of the UTS College Executive Team, contributing to whole-of-organisation strategic decision-making and ensuring the College remains competitive, innovative, responsive to market trends and known for high quality.
This role leads innovation and continuous improvement in learning and teaching, quality assurance, student experience and student support. The Dean leads the Education portfolio to work in ways that anticipate and respond to emerging student needs and rapid changes, including the challenges and opportunities of AI and the rapidly evolving market and employment landscapes here and overseas. The role also oversees our overall quality standards and quality assurance, including our TNE delivery.
The Dean is a highly capable communicator, leads relationship development with key senior stakeholders within UTS and our partners overseas, and is the academic face of the College, able to articulate our distinctive model and the strength of our outcomes to internal and external audiences.
The new Dean will inherit a very strong Education leadership team - highly engaged, very experienced and motivated to bring our 2030 Strategy to life.
With extensive senior experience within higher education, the successful candidate will bring a proven track record in educational leadership across international and domestic environments, ideally within a pathway context. They have demonstrated ability to lead the design, development and consistent execution of high quality programs. They have strong people leadership and management skills, great commercial acumen and a focus on working collaboratively with other Executives and their teams, particularly the Future Students and Operations teams.
The College is a wholly-owned entity of UTS and our Sydney campus is based at UTS in the heart of the city. We enjoy and value our close strategic and operational relationships with the University across all areas of our work.
