Job Summary

The duties include assisting dental students, residents, and faculty in patient treatment for various dental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Chair side assistance: Assist with instruments, materials, and patient management during procedures like restorative, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. Follow infection control protocols.
• Instruments and instruction: Operate dental x-ray equipment, maintain supplies, clean equipment, and assist with patient appointments.
• Other duties: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with one year of related experience, or Certified Dental Assistant with an associate's degree or higher in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from a certified Dental Assisting program with 3 years of experience, including mixing materials, taking x-rays, and chair side skills.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge: Oral bony structure, tooth anatomy, dental instruments, basic lab procedures, and 4-handed dentistry.
• Skills: Flexibility and adaptability to changing procedures.
• Abilities: Maintain confidentiality, work in fast-paced environments, and assist with various procedures.
