"Dental Dispensing Assistant"

Ability to memorize individual instruments and components of all instrument and equipment packages dispensed for patient care. Excellent customer service skills including the ability to anticipate needs of customer while dispensing instruments, equipment and commodities for dental procedures performed in clinic. Good computer skills including data entry. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team member. Ability to follow instructions from department supervisor. Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent ability to multi task. Excellent attendance record.

Some knowledge of bloodborne pathogens standard and basic principles of infection control. Basic knowledge of dental materials, dental instruments and dental equipment.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
