Dental Hygienist (Temp)

This position provides care to patients across the lifespan, from newborn through geriatric populations, and requires the ability to respond appropriately to the unique needs of each patient. Key Duties & Responsibilities Performs dental cleanings, scaling, and routine dental hygiene procedures. Performs root planing, curettage, polishing, application of sealants, and fluoride treatments as directed and within scope of practice. Takes, develops, and mounts dental radiographs (X-rays) as necessary. Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care. Assists the attending dentist during patient examinations and dental procedures. Maintains accurate patient records, treatment documentation, and other required records. Performs administrative and clerical duties in support of department operations, as needed. Provides appropriate care and responds to the unique needs of patients from newborn through geriatric populations. Performs other duties as assigned. Hourly Pay Rate: $28.00 Qualifications Graduate from an accredited School of Dental Hygiene. Work experience may not substitute for the education requirement. Current Dental Hygiene License from the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners required.
