Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Sustainable Urban Development.

About the role
The Sustainable Urban Development (SUD) programme in the Department for Continuing Education offers an MSc and a DPhil in Sustainable Urban Development and is expanding its offerings. This growth includes a proposal for a Certificate in Higher Education pathway and a range of Professional Open Access courses, such as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, Oxford University Summer School for Adults (OUSSA), Summer/Spring Schools, and Day and Weekend classes.
You will work as part of the Sustainable Urban Development team, contributing to all provisions as required. They will be part of the academic community of the Department and engage in advanced scholarship.
This is a part-time position, available on a permanent contract.
About you
We are seeking a scholar who has excellent teaching and pedagogical skills, and whose scholarship engages with current critical and theoretical debates in the discipline. We invite candidates whose scholarship focuses on Sustainable Urban Development. We encourage applications from scholars whose teaching and scholarship engage with issues such as economic geography and urban morphology.

Interviews will take place in Oxford on 7 August. Candidates shortlisted will be asked to prepare a five-minute presentation to deliver at the start of the interview and will be sent the full details of this task when they are invited to interview.
