"Deputy University Secretary"

We are seeking an experienced governance and legal professional and values-driven leader to join us as our Deputy University Secretary.

About the Role

In this newly configured senior role, you will provide full deputisation for the University Secretary and enjoy specific responsibility for leading and developing the corporate governance and legal functions across the institution.

As Deputy University Secretary you will provide strategic and operational leadership of the specialist teams reporting to you to enable and support the effective delivery of Strategy 2030. You will also provide expert advice to fellow members of senior management, the executive and the Board of Governors on a variety of complex matters to support institutional priorities and the effective management of risk.

In this important leadership position, you will be a consummate professional with a compelling vision for success and the capacity to inspire trust.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of governance, legal, risk, assurance & regulatory compliance within the HE sector, including direct experience of working with regulators.
• Extensive experience of leading, developing and managing teams in corporate governance & legal services provision.
