Bournemouth University (BU) is a vibrant educational community with around 15,000 students and 1,500 colleagues. Deeply rooted in our distinctive location on the UK’s South Coast, we combine a strong sense of place with a dynamic global outlook and a growing network of international partnerships. Our purpose is to drive prosperity and improve lives through education, research and innovation that has impact.
Having launched our ambitious BU2035 strategy, we are on a journey of transformation. We are developing an industry-connected, future-focused education that equips graduates to solve global challenges and shape the future, while strengthening our contribution to the communities and industries we serve.

You will provide leadership to our Faculty and University Deans, champion educational excellence and drive improvements in student experience, graduate outcomes, research, innovation and enterprise.
You will translate strategy into measurable results, with accountability for academic performance and our TEF, REF and KEF submissions. Working collaboratively across BU, you will develop a distinctive, sustainable academic portfolio and nurture a culture in which colleagues and students can thrive.
You will bring a strong record of senior academic leadership, strategic delivery and successful transformational change in higher education. Combining financial and resource planning expertise with sound judgement, you will inspire confidence, build effective partnerships and lead with integrity, openness and a commitment to inclusion.
