Position Description
This position assists in the overall operation of the Unit Medication Room and distributes patients’ medications from filled prescriptions.

Major/Essential Functions
This is a part-time, on-call position.

• Delivers and administers patients their ordered and prescribed medications.
• Within the scope of the specific credential of the team member, will support clinical activities in the health facility under the direction of the facility director and nurse management.
• Actively participates in all assigned training related to the Medication Aide Program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a pharmacy technician and active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) (or in process of registration) via passing the national certification exam.
• Prior experience in medication administration, as a medication aide, or similar
