Digital Content Strategist

About this opportunity

The Ball State University Digital Corps is a student-powered creative agency looking for a Digital Content Strategist who is part writer, part mentor, and part strategist. In this role, you'll act as a catalyst for innovation by bridging the gap between the Division of Information Technology and the campus community, turning complex tech initiatives into clear, engaging stories and helpful guides. You will spend your days in a collaborative environment leading a talented team of undergraduates, coaching them through real-world projects and helping them launch their creative careers. From managing campus-wide outreach to serving as the lead on AI content integrity, you will ensure our technology is accessible, reliable, and forward-thinking for everyone at Ball State. If you are a creative problem-solver passionate about student success and staying at the cutting edge of digital communication, we want to meet you!

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

  4. Collaborate with Digital Corps students to support the client-focused communication projects undertaken by the Digital Corps.
  5. Work with Unified Technology Support to create and maintain campus-wide support documents ("Knowledgebase") for key Information Technology initiatives.
  6. Lead collaborative efforts within the Division of Information Technology to research and apply forward-thinking outreach trends and strategies. Share these insights with both IT and the Digital Corps to ensure we evaluate new tools and techniques and maintain the Digital Corps' mission to remain at the forefront of technology.
  7. Provide strategic direction for the launch of new IT systems, collaborating to develop all initial training content and essential documentation to ensure clear and effective information is available to users immediately upon system deployment.
  8. Foster and promote a culture of content excellence and customer-centric knowledge sharing across the Division of Information Technology, establishing standard processes and providing regular consultation and training to support content creation.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
