This is an exciting opportunity to join the Communications and Reputation Centre of Excellence, working on the University’s global reputation campaign and supporting the University’s ambition to become a global top 50 institution.
The Digital Marketing Officer will help to co-ordinate the delivery of the University’s marketing campaigns to raise profile and global reputation. The successful candidate will bring experience in multi-channel campaign delivery with a strong focus on paid digital advertising, audience segmentation and CRM driven engagement. Experience of LinkedIn campaign management, email journeys, and performance optimisation would be particularly valuable.

This role sits within the Campaigns and Brand team, part of the Communications and Reputation Centre of Excellence within External Relations.
Role Summary
The Digital Marketing Officer will support the team in the co-ordination of both traditional and digital campaigns, managing and executing the delivery of appropriate assets, copy and designs and securing all necessary approvals. Working with both internal and external agencies and teams across the University, the post holder will ensure campaigns are launched on time and within budget. They will also monitor campaign performance, using digital marketing data and insights to optimise activity and improve campaign effectiveness.
The post holder will enjoy working within a busy, creative and fast-paced team. This role would be suited to someone with experience in running concurrent campaigns who understand how a multi-channel campaign works. The post-holder will have a good understanding of digital marketing targeting techniques, web and paid media. The post-holder will have excellent communication skills and be adept at managing projects in an organised, collaborative way.

Person Specification
- Degree level education or equivalent experience
- Experience delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns with a strong focus on paid media and CRM
- Practical experience of managing digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn, Meta, Google Ads or programmatic display
- Experience of CRM platforms and audience segmentation for campaign delivery
- Strong understanding of audience targeting, funnel-based marketing and campaign optimisation
- Experience interpreting analytics data to optimise performance and inform decision making
- Good project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Experience working with agencies and coordinating external suppliers
- Proven copywriting skills across digital channels including paid ads, email and web content
- Strong understanding of how to translate complex information into accessible, audience focused communications
- Optimise digital content and landing pages for SEO performance
