About the Role

Curtin University is seeking an experienced Digital Partner - Products to play a key role in shaping and delivering impactful digital solutions across the University.

Working within the Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) team, you will act as the product lead for a defined product stream - owning the product roadmap, understanding customer needs, and driving the delivery of digital products that support Curtin’s strategic priorities.

This is a senior product role where you will work at the intersection of business and technology. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams to prioritise initiatives, align cross-functional teams, and ensure digital products deliver measurable outcomes. You will operate in a structured, delivery-focused environment, balancing agile ways of working with the governance and compliance expectations of a large and complex organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovation across modern technology platforms, including initiatives exploring AI-enabled solutions, while supporting the University’s global research, teaching and student experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and manage the product roadmap for your product stream, ensuring alignment with Curtin’s strategic and technology priorities
  • Understand customer needs and business goals to define and prioritise product initiatives
  • Translate business requirements into epics, user stories and backlog items for agile delivery teams
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, showcases and product lifecycle activities
  • Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams to drive delivery outcomes, despite not having direct reports
  • Manage dependencies across delivery teams and ensure alignment across initiatives
  • Drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives within your product portfolio
  • Use customer insights, analytics and feedback to guide product decisions and measure outcomes
  • Provide clear and proactive communication to stakeholders on progress, risks and delivery outcomes
  • Act as the voice of the product, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders

About You:

You are an experienced Product Manager who thrives in environments where collaboration, delivery and stakeholder engagement are key.

You bring a strong ability to translate business needs into practical digital solutions and are comfortable leading cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes. You are decisive, organised and an excellent communicator who can confidently engage with both technical specialists and business leaders.

You enjoy working in a delivery-focused environment with a strong team culture, where innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged.

Selection Criteria:

  • Significant experience as a Product Manager within a complex digital or technology environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating delivery without direct reporting lines
  • Strong experience developing product roadmaps, backlogs and user stories
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining delivery focus
  • Experience working across customer needs, business objectives and technical strategy
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including experience working with senior leaders
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data, insights and metrics to guide product decisions

Desirable Experience:

  • Exposure to modern software development environments or cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
  • Experience in digital transformation or higher education environments

Role Requirements:

  1. As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
  2. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction
