Director Apartments
Job Description:
- Participates in strategic planning process for resident life. Assists with the implementation of department and University sponsored retention efforts and programs.
- Advises and refers staff and students on diverse issues ranging from academic support to suicide and mental health issues. Responds to emergency and crisis situations.
- Assists in administering the student conduct process in conjunction with the assistant director for resident life student conduct.
- Participates in the creation and implementation of professional development and training opportunities.
- Manages departmental budgets and maintains supplies inventory. Reviews open work orders and warranty reports regularly.
- Collaborates with other student affairs staff to address ongoing apartment maintenance and facility emergencies. Oversees regular health and safety inspections.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and student employees.
Short Job Description:
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Formal training and experience in crisis intervention and conflict management.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekend and holiday rotation.
