Objective
Responsible for planning, managing and directing efforts to attract private support through the Foundation for the Blinn College District. Responsible for providing leadership for the Blinn College Foundation's Board of Directors through periodic mission, vision, and goal setting and working with the Board of Directors to increase the values of the Foundations assets. Fundraising efforts shall be in the support of the college's mission, strategic objectives, and fundraising priorities as determined by the College District Chancellor.

Special Notes To Applicants
This is an internal only posting. Applicants must be a current Blinn College employee. This is a 12 month position, with full benefits, health insurance and life insurance paid by the college for the employee. Other benefits available at optional cost to employee. 12 vacation days a year, 8 hours sick leave each month (up to 600 hours), 5 discretionary days and 2 personal days a year, plus paid holidays (1 week at spring break, 3 days at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Christmas and other paid one day holidays throughout the year, subject to change as approved by the Board of Trustees. Work schedule will normally be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Occasional evenings and weekend work, as required to complete job duties.
Principal Accountabilities
- Designs, implements and manages a comprehensive and measurable fundraising plan aligned with the vision, mission and goals of both the Blinn College District and the Blinn College Foundation
- Develops comprehensive short-term and long-term strategic plans, including specific and measurable targets regarding specific fundraising goals, prospect management, personal contacts, stewardship activities and solicitations
- Develops Foundation policy statements and procedures
- Directs and administers the overall planning and activities of the Foundation including annual, major, employee, on-line, and targets fundraising campaigns
- Works with Blinn College Administration and Foundation Board to cultivate targeted corporate and foundation support
- Established and maintains a program of recognition for supporters of the Blinn College Foundation
- Responsible for special events related to fundraising and Foundation activities such as building dedications, development functions and donor recognition
- Directs fund raising of the College Districts endowed scholarship program
- Directions Foundation activities in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and Blinn College District policies and procedures
- Serves as the Foundation's administrative liaison to the Blinn College District's Board of Trustees and Administration. Communicates Foundation Actives to Blinn College Trustees, College administration, benefactors and supporters
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Three (3) years of demonstrated successful fundraising experience

- Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with diverse groups and individuals and to build relationships
- Valid Texas drivers license or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to travel on behalf of the college
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed, including nights and weekends as required to perform essential job duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Five (5) years of demonstrated successful fundraising experience
