Job Description
The University of Pennsylvania, a world-renowned Ivy League institution, is seeking a Director D for the Bispecific Release by Immune T cells for Engagement (BRITE) program.
Job Description Summary: The Director will lead a team focused on developing CAR T cells engineered to secrete bispecific molecules targeting various antigens and immune components. This role supports the Director of the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies (CCI) in integrating advanced technologies like gene delivery systems and bispecifics into T cell platforms, while spearheading innovative cell engineering strategies for enhanced antitumor activity and clinical translation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a multidisciplinary team, provide guidance to postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and research staff; oversee research progress, goals, and strategic planning.
- Initiate and oversee research studies, conduct data analysis, ensure timely project execution, and prepare reports, presentations, scientific papers, and grant applications.
- Present data at meetings and provide updates to the Director of CCI.
- Other duties as assigned. Position is contingent upon funding.
Qualifications:
- Master of Science with 5-7 years of experience, or equivalent; PhD preferred.
- Expertise in cancer immunology, immunotherapy, CAR-T cells, cell and gene therapy, signaling pathways, checkpoint blockade, bispecific molecules, and lipid nanoparticle technology.
- Proficient in macrophage and T-cell biology, flow cytometry, preclinical assessments, in vivo studies, and various immunological assays.
- Strong publication record, experience in collaborations, leadership, project design, budget management, grant writing, and presenting research findings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented attitude.

Pay Range: $110,500.00 - $135,000.00 Annual Rate
