The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid in University Student Services is responsible for the enrollment management function that underpins the University’s ability to attract, recruit, admit, and matriculate our Arts and Sciences and Engineering undergraduate students. The office is also a key advisor to the university’s graduate and professional programs (with the exception of PhD programs) whose students are among the best in the nation.
Specifically, the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid uses an integrated and seamless approach to strategy, planning, and implementation in admissions and financial aid. This strategic planning, integration, and coordination of overall university enrollment management relies heavily on the use of data analytics to inform marketing, messaging, and recruitment, financial aid, and to manage the size, composition, selectivity, and other characteristics of admitted students across all academic programs.
We are seeking a Director, Enrollment Analytics, Planning and AI who will be responsible for supporting the university’s enrollment management strategy, providing high level data analysis to inform strategic planning, analyze the effectiveness of initiatives through data-driven research, and to ensure that staff have access to relevant data to inform their work.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Advanced Data Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis using statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within admissions and financial aid data.
- Develop predictive models to forecast application volume, acceptance rates, and enrollment yield for different applicant segments.
Strategic Insights, Intelligence Reporting and Communications
- Provide a deep level of analysis of research findings and synthesize key points in concise and compelling competitive intelligence reports and other deliverables.
Data Collection and Management
- Develop and execute a strategy for ingesting data from a variety of third-party sources, then transforming and leveraging it for analytical use.
Data Architecture, Infrastructure, Policy, and Tools
- Working with the University IT department, drive database infrastructure building to understand and support the effective integration and collaboration of existing databases across the university, including the data warehouse.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead/mentor junior data analysts on data analysis projects, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Five years of related and progressive experience in healthcare IT, analytics, software development or data management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters’ Degree is highly preferred.
- Experience within an undergraduate higher education environment is desirable.
