Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Director, Enterprise Information Services. This is a full-time, calendar year, continuing position.
The Management Information Systems (MIS) department is part of Information Technology Services (ITS) within the Division of Administration & Finance. MIS is responsible for the management, development, and support of the College’s administrative and enterprise information systems. MIS partners closely with departments across the college to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient business operations. The team provides system administration, programming, data integration, and reporting, supporting both legacy systems and the college’s transition to modern, cloud-based administrative solutions. MIS plays a key role in enabling data-informed decision making and in advancing RIC’s strategic and operational goals through technology.
Founded in 1854, Rhode Island College is a distinctive regional college personalizing education for undergraduate and graduate students. The college serves approximately 6,400 undergraduate and graduate students through its five schools: The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the School of Business, the School of Nursing and the School of Social Work. The 180-acre campus is located in beautiful, historic Providence, Rhode Island’s capital, with excellent proximity to the academic and cultural resources of Boston and New York City.
Required qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or closely related field.
Experience: Seven years’ significant information technology experience with administrative computing systems and relational database technologies, two years of which are information technology management experience in a mid to large size environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading or supporting a transition from an on-premise ERP system to a cloud-based solution.
- Familiarity with change management and business process redesign in enterprise system modernization projects.
- Experience in higher education with PeopleSoft or other ERP system.
