The Director for External Education manages Harvard School of Dental Medicine’s portfolio of non-degree external education programs, including online, in-person, and blended formats. This role involves strategic planning, program development, and ensuring alignment with ADA CERP standards. Responsibilities include meeting revenue goals, shaping courses for various stakeholders, representing HSDM at events, managing accreditation, evaluating programs, collaborating with communications and development teams, leading committees, mentoring staff, and serving on university committees.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical office setting, with possible attendance at events outside regular hours. COVID-19 vaccines are strongly encouraged.
Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree or higher, at least 10 years of relevant experience, expertise in developing external education programs, strong organizational and communication skills, innovative mindset, financial management experience, ability to work onsite including evenings and weekends, and successful background check.
Preferred Qualifications: Background as a dental faculty member, experience with in-person and remote programs in dentistry-related fields, and relevant technology skills.
