Director, Institutional Research
Job Summary
The Director of Institutional Research, under general direction, develops, manages, and coordinates Institutional Research operations. Collaborates with faculty and staff to compile, analyze, and report a wide range of institutional data, which includes institutional characteristics, enrollments, and student achievements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that information is collected and official reports are produced in a timely manner to maintain compliance with Federal, State, System, and University reporting requirements.
- Oversees the design, development, and maintenance of online databases as well as the composite information system storing archival information for retrieval to enhance reporting.
- Develops technologically driven enhancements for providing internal constituents with access to data and information for decision-making.
- Manages daily activities of the department concerning recruiting and selection, hiring and terminating, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, and performance evaluations.
- Analyzes University data and prepares reports and executive summaries.
- Administers the budget and oversees the fiscal operations of assigned department.
Minimum Requirements
- Education - Master's degree in a field emphasizing data analysis, research methods, statistics, or higher education from an accredited institution.
- Experience - Ten years of related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
