"Director of Admissions, Doctorate of Physical Therapy"

Position: Director of Admissions, Augustana University, DPT_CO

Supervisor: Program Director, Shelene Thomas

Qualifications: Preferred candidates to possess an earned terminal academic doctorate in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities, or a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or tDPT) with ABPTS specialization or other specialty experience. Must have understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice, knowledge of legislative and regulatory issues affecting physical therapy, be licensed or eligible for licensure in CO or state of residence, be active in professional activities, and have experience consistent with Augustana University for Faculty Rank.

Responsible for all student recruitment, application, and admissions processes. Oversees updates to recruitment materials and admissions policies. Serves as Chair of Admissions Committee, ensuring transparent, nondiscriminatory processes.

Administrative Responsibilities: Directs daily operations for recruitment and admissions, serves as liaison with university departments and external agencies, handles student inquiries, plans recruitment efforts, ensures equal opportunity, educates faculty on admissions processes, manages staff support, reviews and recommends changes to admissions criteria, updates program materials, reports activities in faculty meetings, assists with student assimilation, coordinates committee activities, and ensures compliance with accreditation.
