Position Summary
The Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement designs and implements annual and multi-year plans for strengthening alumni engagement and developing relationships with Western Oregon University parents. The Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement will partner with and support the WOU Alumni Board of Directors, partner with the Office of Student Affairs, and develop strong relationships across Western Oregon University and throughout the local community. The Director will recruit and coordinate alumni and parents to organize, design, lead, and facilitate events in the Monmouth/Salem area, regional events, and other programs. The Director oversees a comprehensive University engagement program that includes planning and executing milestone alumni reunions, Homecoming, alumni recognition programs, and other local and regional events, and supports campus events such as Holiday Tree Lighting, Family Weekend, and Commencement. The Director manages the alumni and parent program operating budget. The Director supports the mission of Western Oregon University and its strategic and operating plans.

Required Qualifications
Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience, required.
- Six to eight years of progressively responsible professional experience in alumni and/or parent relations, preferably within a small college or university environment.
- Three to five years of experience recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers.
- Three to five years of demonstrated high proficiency with software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and desktop publishing tools.
- One to two years of experience in program development and leadership.
- Up to six months of demonstrated fundraising experience.
