Oversees events and conferences related to community engagement
work to meet the larger mission of the Center.
Designs complex reports to support student services goals;
analyze student services metrics to support strategic planning
Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and
applicable legal rules and regulations
Community Partnership Oversight:
- Develops and sustains over 300 community partnerships related
to summer, winter break, and post-graduate programs.
- Collaborates with several departments on campus to support
campus conferences and regionally based partnerships and programs,
such as nonprofit board recruitment fairs and graduate school
networking nights.
- Stewards relationships with current and future partnership
sites. Visits sites yearly for quality control and partner
satisfaction.
- Serves as a strategist for community partnership building
across the department and Harvard College.
Alumni and Key Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engages alumni in conjunction with the Harvard Alumni
Association and Harvard’s Alumni Affairs and Development team.
- Stewards communications support with donors, and student
advising as needed.
- Supports the Associate Dean of Civic Engagement and Service in
fostering donor relationships and faculty relationships
- Serves as a liaison to other civic engagement units across
Harvard University
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office setting
- May be required to work nights and weekends

- Lifting (approximately 20 to 30 pounds), bending, and other
physical exertion
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
- 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience related to
community engagement work.
- Master’s Degree in a field related to community engagement
and/or public service.
- Familiarity with developing programs working with students,
alumni, faculty, and community partners will be given
preference.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. We are also
seeking candidates who can manage relationships with strong
attention to detail and discretion
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills who can
work with a diverse array of constituencies

- Other Information: The work schedule and location will
be set by the department at its discretion and based upon
operational needs and objectives and consistent with College
Policy, which requires 5 days on-site in Cambridge, MA
during term time (first day of classes through commencement), with
the exception of winter break in December, spring break in March,
and the summer months when students are away from campus, where
staff is expected be on campus two days a week. When not
working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in
hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in
compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts .
