Director of Curriculum Facilitation and Innovation
Position Purpose:
The Director of Curriculum Facilitation and Innovation collaborates with faculty, academic departments, administrative units, and university leadership to ensure curriculum quality, alignment with institutional policies, mission, strategy, and responsiveness to evolving educational trends and industry demands. Act as a curriculum liaison between faculty and staff; articulate the implications of the curriculum from the perspective of the student experience, the administrative feasibility, and the academic requirements of the university. Triage, facilitate, and manage curriculum and policy through shared governance and ensure delivery to key stakeholders throughout the process. Ensure process alignment with the General Education Committee and liaise with the Office of the Registrar on matters of curriculum to include General Education. Ensure curriculum compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and university policies. Develop continuous improvement in process and policy, communication plans, and recordkeeping. Manage appropriate webpages to include the academic program tool. Liaise with the Office of Institutional Research and Data Analytics for purposes of program reporting, tracking, and analyzing institutional data and educational trends that inform curriculum decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years higher education experience plus supervisory/management experience.
- Experience working collaboratively with faculty and staff across multiple areas.
- Ability to think strategically and with an innovative mindset.
- Knowledge of university academic policies and procedures.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and to establish, implement, and maintain operating goals and objectives with continuous improvement as a focus.
- Ability to maintain, create, evaluate, and update processes and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- Experience in curriculum and/or registrar services.
- Experience with university enterprise systems, curriculum management software, Banner, Argos, webpages, and/or E-space.
- Employs a student-centered approach to educational planning and decision-making.
