Director of Didactic Education/Didactic Coordinator Physician Assistant Program
This is a
12-month full-time faculty member with administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Must be a
graduate of an accredited PA Program - NCCPA-certified PA
- Eligible for or currently possess Kentucky PA licensure without a
history of negative board action - Master's degree required
- 3 years of clinical experience
- 3 years full-time higher
education experience at time of appointment preferred - Strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities are, but
are not limited to:
- Coordinate the program's didactic phase,
- Demonstrate responsibility for and actively
participate in the processes of:- developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals and competencies of
the program, - student recruitment and selecting applicants for admission to the PA Program,
- providing student teaching and
instruction, - academic counseling of students and evaluation of student performance,
- assuring the availability of remedial
instruction, - development/designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum, and evaluating the
program,
- developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals and competencies of
- Serve as a liaison for instructional faculty,
- Support the development of supervised clinical practice experience
sites, - Participate in and support accreditation related activities, including administrative aspects of the
program, - Adherence to University and PA Program policies and procedures,
- Participate in scholarship and service activities
as required to maintain licensure and board certification.
