Job Summary
Kutztown University is seeking an experienced and collaborative facilities leader to serve as the Director of Facilities Maintenance & Heat Plant Operations.
This essential leadership position provides strategic direction, fiscal stewardship, and operational oversight for the University’s maintenance and skilled trades shops, central heat plant, and deferred maintenance initiatives. The Director will lead and develop a highly skilled workforce, oversee contracted services and operational budgets, and use the University’s work order management system to ensure that urgent, routine, and preventive maintenance needs are completed effectively and on schedule. The position also contributes valuable facilities expertise to the review of campus construction and renovation designs. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This position is designated as essential personnel. Essential employees may be required to remain at or report to work during partial or full-day University closings, including closings due to hazardous road conditions, emergency circumstances, or other operational needs.
