Job Description:
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Director of Foundations, Grants and Sponsored Research is responsible for overseeing the University's grant process, which includes preparing, drafting, and submitting grant, foundation, government and, Title III Enrichment, proposals. Search daily for funding, conducting research, sourcing funders, maintaining, and updating the grants database; managing grants calendar to track submissions and deadlines for proposals and reports. Director is responsible for annually generating $3M in grant support for the University.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts full range of activities required to source, prepare, submit, and manage grant, government, and foundation proposals.
- Notify department and faculty about research opportunities.
- Search for specific opportunities as requested by university faculty and student's needs.
- Support faculty and students with proposals.
- Manages and updates grant tracking system and records all grant-related information, deadlines, and submissions; informs relevant staff about upcoming deadlines and notices.
- Prospect research conducts by evaluating foundations, government funding, and other grant opportunities.
- Develops a solid understanding of all Immaculata University programs to effectively present them in writing.
- Works with leadership, faculty, and staff to identify University needs, funding sources, manage grant writing process, and ensure grants are submitted accurately and on time.
- Annually prepare and submit the Title III report.
- Compile and revise annually a database of funding sources for use across the University.
- Maintain institutional accounts in Grants.gov, HRS-EHB, Fastlane, ERA Commons
- Ensure integrity of research with the Chair of RERB and file and annual report for the United State Research (ORI)
- Other Institutional Advancement department initiatives assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- On-Campus presence required in Malvern, PA
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate field required.
- Minimum three years of demonstrated success in grant and Foundation writing, preferably within higher education institutions.
- Proven ability to source, write proposals, reports, and work effectively under deadlines.
- Superior writing skills: ability to write clear, structured, and persuasive proposals.
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent computer and data management skills; experience with RE (Razor's Edge) fundraising and Grants software.
- Interest, understanding, and commitment to the mission of Immaculata University.
- Ability to work occasionally in the evenings and on weekends.
