Under the leadership of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success (VPUESS), the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success (OUESS) enriches undergraduate education and empowers students to succeed as leaders in progress and service.

Job Summary
Reporting to the AVPUESS, the Director of GenEdCI manages and advances the design, implementation, and integration of undergraduate curricular initiatives and academic policies.
Responsibilities
- Support GT's general education policies, practices, and processes.
- Oversee GT's implementation of the GLRs.
- Serve as a member of the joint Undergraduate Curriculum Operations & Advisory Team (UCOAT).
- Serve as a 'standing guest' on the Student Rules and Regulations Committee.
- Provide support for other GT and/or USG undergraduate curricular initiatives.
- Work with the AVPUESS and/or VPUESS to support and coordinate OUESS committees.
- Compile notes and updates on various GT and USG undergraduate curricular policy initiatives.
- Lead the organization, planning, and delivery of semi-annual OUESS Curricular Updates.
- Initiate analyses of policies and data.
- Prepare reports, websites, and other documentation.
- Perform other special projects, duties, and analyses.
- Teach one General Education/Core IMPACTS course per academic year, contingent on approvals.
- Serve as a member of the OUESS leadership team.
Required Qualifications
Internal (GT) Applicants: Current full-time GT appointment as tenured or tenure-track faculty at any rank or as academic professional at any rank.
External (non-GT) Applicants: Qualification for appointment at GT as an academic professional at any rank.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with curricular initiatives.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curricular policy initiatives.
- Experience in developing or contributing to proposals and plans for improvements in systems and processes in higher education.
- Experience teaching in the General Education curriculum.
- Experience in academic advising.
- Experience in expanding access and supporting student success.
- Completed terminal degree in an academic discipline appropriate to the role.
- Academic qualifications appropriate to serve as lead instructor for a course in the GT General Education/Core IMPACTS curriculum.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education, including undergraduate teaching experience.
- Commitment to and capacity to act as an ambassador in supporting and promoting the mission of OUESS.
- Strong understanding of undergraduate curriculum design.
- Strong understanding of General Education principles and practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent collaborative skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to use technologies and software employed in professional office settings.

Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's background and experience.
